BritishBulldog Chat Regular Participants

BritishBulldog is a Land Rover parts supplier in USA. They've kindly provided a chat room where LR owners and enthusiasts can meet and chat. You can visit their website or go straight to the chat room.

Meanwhile, there is a bunch of people who regularly meet for a chat. I am one of them. Mostly they are Americans but I've encountered one Brit and I think I'm the only New Zealander there.

I've always thought it would be nice to put faces to those names I see on the chat. Some of them agreed to have their mugshots put on this page. I'm still collecting from people there.

Well, first-off, my mugshot. It's taken a while to get one but here it is. If you've been wondering what I look like, wonder no more. Be prepared for the laugh of your life.

This photo was taken on a bridge joining the Greenstone and Caples tracks. Noticed my right knee was bound? It was the most disasterous trip I have ever been on. It included the horrors of aggravating the old knee injury, being eaten alive by giant sandflies and 4 flat tyres (2 in one go, a third slow leak and the 4th was shredded while driving 100km/h). Sounds exciting? I'll write about it once I've recovered from the trauma (and when I can be bothered).

This is Ike (Isaac Davies Goss). He has a SIIA and dreams of owning many kinds of 4x4's (vintage models only). He is also studying Geology in Indiana State University which puts him quite high in my books (I'm biased on that).

Next is Neal Friedenthal. A civil war reconstruction enthusiast (as you can see). Click on the picture for the full photo of Neal and his cannon. Neal runs a Safari tour company with a Kenyan partner. J&F Sarafi can be found on nairobisafari.com. As far as I can tell the safari is run exclusively with Land Rovers.

Jim Caffrey from Iowa. First picture is Jim on his D90. A boating enthusiast with a ridiculously large number of boats in his family :-)

Ho Chung, Los Angeles, CA. Disco owner and Rover nut. Born in Korea, raised in Brazil and enjoying life in the USA (with a Rover of course). Visit his on-line magazine.

Art Bitterman , a retired USAF avionics technician who drives a 1960 SII 88" (right hand drive). Aardvark the Landie was purchased while he was stationed in England. Visit his Guns and Rovers site.

This is Don Herrero (aka Danno) and wife, Elizabeth. A resident of St. Louis with a

This is Chuck Henry from Nebraska in what I assume is his ideal dreamworld? Pity it's not a permanent one, eh Q? Check out his website

If you haven't guessed which one he is, look for the shining white gut :-)

Meet Brian O'Connor of New Mexico. He runs the mortuary program at a USAF base. Brian drives a Discovery although he is looking to trade it for a SIII. He also has a Land Cruiser FJ40 but we shouldn't hold that against him :-) Obviously he also likes fishing and wishes he was still in Alaska.

That's all I have at the moment. I'll try and extract some more when I have time.
